Anoles are pretty little lizards. they have a cool little dewlap on their throats that they can stick out, and they can change colors (brown to green). lots of people think they’re related to chameleons, but they’re actually part of the iguana family!

also they can do that thing where they drop their tails to escape. though it’s a last resort and not an ideal thing to happen, it’s pretty damn neat when it does- their tails writhe around on their own for a good 10 minutes afterwards.
